XDA Recognized Developer HD2Owner has managed to manually deploy Project Astoria packages to Windows 10 Mobile. Project Astoria (now called Windows Bridge) allows deployment of Android apps on Windows 10 by reusing code.

There’s were some rumors about the mammoth Android tablet from Samsung even before the company teased it at a recent event. An entry on GFXBench today reveals this 18.5-inch tablet to have a 1080p display, 64-bit Exynos 7580 SoC, 2MP front camera, 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Previous rumors have us believe it will also have a 5,700 mAh battery and a microSD card slot.

Sony Answers Some Common 4K Display Questions for the Xperia Z5

Sony recently introduced the first UltraHD smartphone to the market but it was hit with controversy when said it didn’t stay in “4K” mode all the time. Sony tells us they went this route as a way to save battery life and the fact that most 3rd-party applications simply aren’t capable of running at this resolution.

Nest Weave is a new communication protocol that Nest has actually been using in their products for a while now. Today the Nest team has announced that will be allowing other companies to use this protocol to communicate with Nest products.

Stagefright 2.0 Vulnerability Discovered, Soon to be Patched

New Exploit Threatens Android

Zimperium, the ones behind the discovery of the infamous Stagefright, have discovered yet another exploit that hit Android devices running up to 5.1.1 Lollipop. Google previously fixed this by patching up the MMS hole that it was exploiting. The thing is, this same type of attack can go through your web browser too. Google is expected to release a new security patch on October 5th.
