Verizon Cancels the Launch of the Sony Xperia Z4v

Verizon Cancels the Launch of the Sony Xperia Z4v

In June, Verizon Wireless announced the Sony Xperia Z4v and told us that it would be ‘this summer’. The summer has come and gone and we still haven’t seen the device launched on their network. The company just updated their launch post and are now telling us that they do not plan on launching the Z4v anymore.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow Factory Images For Nexus Devices Now Available!

475399-android-marshmallow

Google unveiled Android’s next version, Android 6.0 Marshmallow back at Google I/O. Between then and now, we’ve had a couple of developer releases of the newest version where app developers can test and polish their apps in preparation and get things ready on the app-end for users when global rollout begins.

And so it seems, global rollout has begun. The update for Android 6.0 Marshmallow build MRA58K should reach eligible devices via OTA update in the next few weeks.

Of course, this is XDA. If you are reading this, chances are that you don’t wish to wait for the OTA process to reach you, and instead, are comfortable in folding your sleeves up and getting down and dirty to fastboot flash-all. In that case, you can find all the factory images for all Nexus devices here. The Marshmallow update with build number MRA58K, however, is restricted for Nexus 6 (shamu), Nexus Player (fugu), Nexus 9 LTE (volantisg), Nexus 9 WiFi (volantis), Nexus 5 (hammerhead), Nexus 7 2013 WiFi (razor) and Nexus 7 2013 Mobile (razorg). As should be the case, the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P already ship with the latest release out-of-the-box.

To know more about the release and some of the noteworthy additions to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, read up on the Android Developer Blog.
