Sony has posted a list of devices that will receive an update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The devices include Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact, Z5 Premium, Z4 Tablet, Z3+, Z3, Z3 Compact, Z3 Tablet Compact, Z2, Z2 Tablet, Xperia M5, C5 Ultra, M4 Aqua and C4. Notably missing from this list is the original Xperia Z lineup.
Google was recently accused of breaking Russian antitrust law. The company was told that they would be penalized if they didn’t stop “forcing” OEMs to bundle Google’s applications if they wanted to use Google Play. Today, Google was given a deadline of November 18th to change this or they could face a fine of up to 15% of the revenue from the preinstalled apps.
The Humble Bundle team has just announced a new set of Android games while supporting the EFF And Worldreader charities. If you pay $1 or more then you get access to Deep Under the Sky, Botanicula and Haunt the House: Terrortown. The second tier unlocks for $3.93 (as of writing this) and includes Jelly Defense, Dark Echo and Fearless Fantasy (with more to be announced soon).
The Droid Maxx 2 has had its fair share of rumors but it has yet to make any sort of official debut as of yet. Seeing Google out this unannounced device is rather surprising but that’s exactly what they did in their recently updated Chromecast help page. As you can see, the Droid Maxx 2 will simply be the Moto X Play with a different name.
HTC just can’t seem to catch a break, but the company hopes to turn things around with the launch of their “hero” smartphone later this month. Today though, the company published their Q3 financial report and things aren’t looking good for the Taiwanese handset maker. In the three months that ends on September 30th, HTC reported a net loss of $138 million dollars.

Google, along with some other major Android OEMs, recently committed to monthly security updates for their devices. Details of Google’s October security patches have now been published and we can see which exploits have been patched. 30 different issues have been fixed with this round of updates and builds LMY48T or later (such as LMY48W), along with Android 6.0, now include these patches.
