HTC Vive to be Available For Purchase in April 2016

HTC is on track to launch the second generation of HTC Vive Developer Kit at CES 2016. As a result, the commercial availability of the device has been pushed back to April 2016. This should allow the company to iron out any major kinks in the VR device, along with giving developers time to create polished content for the VR platform.

Microsoft’s Cortana Now Available on Android & iOS

Microsoft’s Cortana digital assistant is finally making its way to the public outside of its Windows environment. This Cortana experience will also be part of the base that Cyanogen will be further building up on for Android, with actions like “Hey Cortana” and toggles for settings, as reported by The Verge. The app is currently live for users in US and China, but expect global rollout soon.

Meizu Announces Plans to Update Older Devices with Flyme 5 OTA

Until now, it was only confirmed that the Meizu MX5 & the Pro 5 would be receiving an OTA update for Flyme 5 but today we get some information about a wider rollout. Meizu has announced that the Meizu MX4, MX4 Pro & M1 Note would all be updated to Meizu’s latest version of Android. The OTA update for these additional devices is scheduled to launch before February.

Pushbullet Announces New Remote Files Feature

A new version of Pushbullet will allow you to pull a file from another one of the devices connected to your account. In a blog post, they mention that you can launch the app and grab a file off your work computer if you forgot it before you left. For this to work on a PC though, you’ll need to have the Windows application installed. The feature is available for pro as well as free (with limitations).
