NVIDIA Posts Sneak Peek of Android 6.0 Marshmallow on Shield Tablet K1

NVIDIA has posted a sneak peek of the upcoming Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to the Shield Tablet K1. This update includes all the standard goodies that Android 6.0 Marshmallow brings over Lollipop, along with some more treats baked in by NVIDIA like an improved camera app. The update is scheduled to go live this month.

Early Production Model of the Moto X 2016 Leaks

Twitter celebrity Steve Hemerstoffer aka notable leaker OnLeaks has posted an early production model of the 4th generation Moto X, or Moto X 2016. The model shows a metallic body with drilled speaker holes on the back, and a very large camera hump with LED flash set inside. This is not a final model, so things can change drastically by the time of actual production/release.

Firefox for Android 43.0 Released, Lots of New Features Added

A new version of Firefox is available for Android and it’s a big update, as Mozilla has added a lot of new features known from the desktop version of the browser. Users can now mark items as read/unread in the reading list panel. Finally, m4v video playback support has been improved. If you are using Firefox on Android, check out the Play Store to get the update.

Pebble Announces New Health App For Time Smartwatches

Pebble has announced that the Pebble smartwatches will be able to perform fitness tracking functions, thanks to the new Health app. The new app focuses on steps, active time and sleep; and integrates all of the collected data into the Timeline functionality of Pebble Time smartwatches. Developers will also have access to the app via an upcoming API.

In a new blog post today, Google has announced that Android Pay can be used for purchases within applications. Right now, only a certain number of apps support it, but Google says this will grow over time. Android Pay is also coming to Australia in the first half of 2016 and that Google will be “adding more countries’ throughout 2016.
