questions about MTCB units that I can't clear answers for..

I'm looking to buy a Android head unit, that has GPS, that will allow voice commands/dailing, supports DVR, and the standard features.

Questions:
1)can I upgrade a unit that comes with Android 4.2. To 4.4 via custom firmware ?
2) do the capacitive touchscreens work with gloves ? I'm figuring one with buttons and knobs is a better idea.
3) has anyone had problems with the units in a -30c winter ?
4) with the mic MOD and the voice dial service app, do any of the units handle true hands free voice dailing better than others ? Parrot Bluetooth module versions help at all ?

Looking for special data organizing app.

Where text, picture, and video Data is entered under subject tabs and displayed on the android screen when tabs are pressed. Tabs can also have subtabs. The size and color of tabs can be customized for easy recognition on big Tablets like the new Samsung View 18". So I want the data to be able to be viewed like it was a page in a book. And the videos on the page can be play with just a touch. Local videos that dont rely on internet links that can be broken. The video part of these tab data pages is very important. Is there such an app out there with all the millions of apps?

Enable Spo2 in shealth

Hi.
I have a S6 rooted device with original G920F rom.
I have read a few months ago in this forum that for enable
SPO2 measurement in S-health app,i should modify a file in my phone and disable location restriction sentence.
But now I've lost that file's location.
Can anybody help me and guide?
I know there are many other ways to (e.g install a costum rom).but modifying a file is more easy.

Thanks.

Long press menu on home screen not working - android 5.1 Cube t8 plus

Hi,

I have a Cube t8 plus running Android 5.1

After a few days of use the menu on home screen that comes up after a long press is not working.

All that happens is a white / grey translucent square nearly the full size of the screen appears whilst the screen is pressed - no widget menu etc - this disappears after the screen is pressed again.

I have un-installed all the apps I had installed, and returned any settings I had changed but still have the same problem.

Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Many thanks in advance..

LG G4: Installing SuperSU through TWRP renders device unbootable

FOR LG-H815, bought in Germany.

a) Went through the effort and unlocked the bootloader through LG's official method.

b) Confirmed, several times, that the bootloader is indeed unlocked.(via 'fastboot getvar unlocked' and verifying that the response is "unlocked: yes")

c) Tried to swap the Stock Recovery Mode with TWRP, using 'fastboot flash recovery twrp-2.8.6.0-h815.img'. The process ends in 1 sec. After booting in recovery mode, I find out it doesn't actually flash it.

d) Inside cmd: adb reboot bootloader
fastboot boot twrp-2.8.6.0-h815.img

At this point I am trying to boot TWRP for a one-time job of rooting the device.

-Install>>Select UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip>>Swipe to Install>> Reboot System

e) After reboot: PERMANENTLY STUCK, will not boot past LG's Logo. It is still possible to enter the Stock Recovery Mode, and Stock Download Mode.

I have repeated the process twice, reflashing the stock ROM, to the same effect. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Accidently Disabled the front facing IR Proximity Sensors (used by Moto Display)

As the title goes, I accidentally disabled those sensors. I am using a pretty customized phone, TruePureXMM rom with frankenclark kernel, but I do seem to remember these IR sensors were working under this setup. I've done a lot of tweaking (probably not all helpful) with Gravity Box, Amplify and Kernel Adiutor and probably some others. Worse comes to worst and I'll just backup my app settings (anyone want to recommend a good, non pay-gated app for that?) and reflash.

Has anyone done this to themselves? did you figure it out?
