.

OFFICIAL CyanogenMod CM13 has just been released for
SGH-M919 (T-Mobile) jfltetmo

http://ift.tt/20nTwZI

First thoughts/findings:
= Restore during setup does not restore properly from my Optimized CM13 what I mean is that I first selected my most recent setup restore and it went to 'Checking..' then looped right back to 'Choose Restore Point'.. so I chose "Don't Restore".. then it still restored all my Apps.. so thats a bit strange.
= Root/Superuser access by using SUPERSU from the Play Store will FAIL at updating binaries even with Root Access changed to 'APPS and ADB' in Developer Options. Download SUPERSU 2.65 by Chainfire from [HERE] as a workaround. When flashing SUPERSU you will get a small bootloop ONE TIME at the beginning while it installs. Its Completely Normal. The newer SuperSU version 2.70 will not work properly. I already tried it.

I will not be held responsible for you messing up your phone. It worked for me.. It SHOULD work for you.
This does trip your Knox Warranty Bit. This does void your warranty.
.

= Windows 7 ONLY: Download to your PC: Samsung KIES3 - found [HERE].

= Download to your Phones External MicroSD Card: SuperSU-v2.65 - found [HERE]

= Power ON your phone and boot into the normal system.
= CHARGE YOUR PHONE TO AT LEAST 80%.. if your battery runs out while your flashing or loading you will be in trouble!!
= Windows 7 ONLY: Install KIES3 on your PC -- You must install KIES3 in order to install the Samsung phone drivers -- You do not actually need to use it. (Windows 8/8.1/10 does this automatically on the next step).
= Win 7/8/8.1/10: Plug your phone into your PC via USB cable.. WAIT for your PC to finish installing drivers.
= TRANSFER all the needed files to your phone now.. put the files in a 'ROM' folder on your External MicroSD Card.
= Unplug your phone from your PC.
= Power OFF your phone.
= Bookmark this page on your PC.. then REBOOT your PC to ensure you exited out of KIES3 install and/or fully installed the drivers.
= Boot your phone into DOWNLOAD MODE (While Powered OFF - HOLD Power, Home, and Volume DOWN buttons for 6 secs, let go as soon as the screen changes).. then press the Vol UP button.
= Run ODIN3-v3.10.7 on your PC -- use "Run as Administrator".
= Plug in your phone (phone is still in Download Mode) via USB cable to your PC.
= In ODIN3: Make sure you see "COM #" and "ADDED!!" -- SEE HELP IMAGE HERE
* If you Do NOT see the 'COM#' and 'ADDED!!' then Samsung Drivers is Installed INCORRECTLY!
* If you DO see the 'COM#' and 'ADDED!!' then you Can Continue Below to the Next Step.

= Insert the 'TWRP-2.8.4.0-jfltetmo.tar' file in "AP" - Click START -- SEE HELP IMAGE HERE
= Wait for your phone to reboot into system.
= You can unplug your USB cable now.
= Power OFF your phone.
= Boot into TWRP Recovery (While Powered OFF - HOLD Power, Home, and Volume UP buttons for 6 secs).. Let go of the buttons after the vibrate but just before you see the small blue writing appear at the top.. I was holding mine down for too long and it would just boot like normal and not recovery mode.
= Install TWRP 3.0.1-0-JDC by Clicking 'INSTALL' > 'Select Storage' (near the bottom) > 'Micro SDCard' > 'OK' > Find your TWRP-3.0.1-0.img you downloaded > 'Swipe to Install'.
= Go back to Main Menu > Reboot > Recovery
* This will reboot you back into TWRP and your Recovery version should be changed to the 3.0.0-0.
* Your custom recovery is now successfully installed!

= MAKE A CURRENT BACKUP: Tap 'Select Storage' near the bottom > Select "Micro SDCard" > then "OK"
= Backup: Tick (enable): EFS Only > Swipe to Backup -- Hint: Change the filename from 'Auto-Generate' to 'EFS-ONLY-<date>'
* Note: You should only backup EFS by itself.. You only need to backup EFS one (1) time ever.
= Backup: Tick (enable): Boot, Cache, Data, Preload, Recovery, and System > Swipe to Backup
= Go back to Main Menu
= 'WIPE' > 'ADVANCED WIPE' > Tick (enable): Dalvik/ART Cache, Cache, Data, Internal Storage, Preload, and System.
= 'SWIPE TO WIPE'
= Go back one menu then 'FORMAT DATA' - type 'YES' and press blue checkmark.
= Go back to Main Menu
= Install CM13 ROM by Clicking 'INSTALL' > Find your Synergy ROM you downloaded. --> 'Select Storage' (near the bottom) > 'Micro SDCard' > 'OK'.
= Install Open GApps by Clicking 'ADD MORE ZIPS' > Find your Open GApps you downloaded.
= Install SuperSU-v2.65 by Clicking 'ADD MORE ZIPS' > Find your SuperSU you downloaded.
= 'SWIPE to Confirm Flash'.
= Wait for completion.
= 'Wipe Cache and Dalvik'.
= 'REBOOT' into system.
* Your System is now successfully Installed!

* After your initial setup you need to tweak a few things:
= Settings > About Phone > Build Number > tapped 7 times = 'Developer Options'.
= Settings > Developer Options > Advanced Reboot = ENABLED.
= Settings > Developer Options > Root Access > Apps and ADB enabled.
= Settings > Location > Change to 'Device Only'.
= Settings > Location > 3-Dots > Scanning > DISABLE (untick) Wifi Scanning and Bluetooth Scanning.
= Pull-Down Notification Panel > GPS (Device Only) changed to disabled.
= App Drawer > Google > 3-Lines > Settings > Now Cards > Turn OFF
= App Drawer > Google > 3-Lines > Settings > Voice > OK GOOGLE Detection > Turn OFF
= RUN SuperSU from App Drawer > SuperSU. (See SuperSU notes below)
= Install and RUN Busybox by Stephen (Stericson) from the Play Store.
= Enjoy!

* IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH MOBILE DATA, PHONE CALLS, OR TEXT MESSAGES ALWAYS CHECK YOUR APN SETTINGS! *

[Q] how hide apps in start menu of Windows 10 Mobile "or" add whitelist to Edge?

Hi,

is it possible to "hide" an app from the W10M start menu? And I don't refer to the home screen, I mean the full list of apps.
Or would there be a way to let the browser only work with a whitelist? .. No, Microsoft Family does not work properly on W10M.

Background - feel free to call me soft:
- Bought a Lumia 640 XL for my wife and a 2nd hand Lumia 535 for my daughter (to be her first smartphone, getting 9 end of the month) so that they could "share" the same experience, more or less.
- Played around with the "Microsoft Family" feature, and, to make it short, it doesn't work properly, not nearly close to what was expected or advertised. That might change ... in a few months. Maybe.
At least the URL filtering does not work "at all".
- So, in short, in order not to instantly fall back to pick an Android based device for my daughter (one beloved Razr i still in close range...), I was wondering if it was possible to "hide" one or the other thing from the start menu instead, the Edge browser in particular. Uninstallation I don't expect to be possible, probably being a deeper chunk of the OS, but only touching the start menu I concluded "should" be possible, one way or the other. At least I hope so.

Would I start to deal with the "full file system access" approach or rather try to dive into registry fiddling? Any help or maybe clear hint would be highly appreciated.
By now I did not find anything related to this. Neither here at xda or somewhere else. Probably no one considers doing something like that for his kids on Windows 10 Mobile ...
Who would want to hide a browser on a smartphone, anyway? .. yeah, I can't keep my kids "off" of the bad Internet, but I can at least keep an eye upon as long as possible.

Thanks in advance,
regards,...

N910 Bootlooping after changing from Cyanogen to Stock Poland ROM

Hello,

I own an N910C which was running RaymanFX's unofficial Cyanogen mod build 11.

Since its bugginess was too much for me to handle, I was eagerly awaiting for the stock MM ROM to come out and as you al know, as soon as the Poland ROM was released today, I downloaded and flashed it via Odin.

Bootloop.

Fellows over Cyanogen mod thread recommended to do a full wipe and try again. No luck again.

Can you think of anything to remedy my problem please?

Thank you.

No touch screen after disassembly and repair

I have a Samsung Galaxy Core Prime (duh) Model: SM-S820L Current Binary: Custom System Status: Custom. Basically it's Rooted and TWRP flashed but still on stock ROM. I dropped it and shattered my screen, and it worked at first. In the past two days the bottom right most display has stopped function, followed by the entire bottom. The top used to work and then after I took it apart and put it back together; all function has stopped. I used this phone to charge a battery for my Samsung Galaxy Nexus. It only boots to TWRP or Odin and won't charge in either. Any ideas? All are appreciated.
P.S. This is not my main phone so if I'm just SOL go ahead and say so.
