G928I Update question

Hello guys.
It's been 2 months since samsung started rolling out MM update for SGS6E+, and most of them (no carrier locked) already received it.
I have G928I, not locked, not branded, bought in official Samsung store in Singapore, but still no sign of MM.
Is it normal for phones in this region to receive update months after others do?

(Mod) Gear VR working with Note 4

The other day I got the MM update and decided to force install the VR software to see if I could without the VR. It worked and i could browse the store, so it piqued my intreset.

Today I grabbed a spare Gear VR from a family member and took it home tonstart messing with it. I already knew a non Inovator Edition would not work with my GN4, but I wanted to see for myself why.

After looking at it and seeing how close it is to fitting, and confirming that the usb connector fits in and triggers the VR system to work, I started to look over the system closer to see how I could make it work and try to keep it as clean as possible without using my Dremmel.

Turns out its really easy to make it fit-ish (but enough).

Flip up the usb tab and there are 2x phillips screws. Remove them to pull the plate holding the usb connector in the clip. Slide off the plastic cover and youll see the usb has a thin ribbon attached that is long enough to pull out of the clip completely while still staying attached.

Now all you need is to take a flathead and on the bottom side of the clip, pry it out of the VR headset. Its held in with pegs on each end. The top peg is longer and connected to a spring, so you want to pull the bottom peg out first. Once the bottom one is out, you will need to pull with a little force to separate the top peg from the spring. Make sure to not damage the usb ribbon.

Now the same on the other side, but pry the top peg out first. Once the 2 pegs are out, youll have a long spring attached to the botttom of the clip that can be release by 2 more small phillips screws.

Now your done! Plug in the usb to your GN4 and place the smoaked plastic cover over your phone to hold it in place. I was able to watch the GoT intro VR video and browse the VR web before my batty died.

Obviously this will void any warranty and you risk damage to your VR.

Have fun!

Sudden issues with wifi + LTE, MHC19Q

As of just this afternoon I'm suddenly getting a strange new issue that I can reproduce pretty consistently. I first noticed that my wifi signal was claiming to be connected but with no internet, and showed a little exclamation point next to it. I disabled wifi, and noticed the exclamation point jumped over to LTE. In both cases, I can still essentially use the connection. I disabled cellular data with wifi connected and could still browse the web, and likewise if I disabled wifi and the exclamation point was back on the LTE symbol. However, I notice some apps like Instagram will refresh posts but no longer load images, and reddit will load posts but not follow any links or load any images either.

Things I've tried:

-Flashed the 2.50 radio (down from 3.61)
-Flashed the MHC19Q system.img and cache.img
-Installed ElementalX kernel (at first it looked like it fixed the LTE issues, but really it just made the "!" go away; still seeing the same issues when I connect to wifi and then disconnect)
-Deleted and readded the nxtgenphone APN (I'm on AT&T)
-Tried to get into *#*#4636*#*#; I get "Connection problem or invalid MMI code."
-Cleared cache/dalvik in recovery (hey, you never know)
-Rebooted my router to make sure it's not an issue there; all other wireless devices on my router are fine

In all cases I can still send and receive texts and certain apps will continue to function about halfway, such as Instagram mentioned above. Switching airplane mode on and off doesn't help. Furthermore, once the wifi connection first gets the "!", it will no longer automatically reconnect as it doesn't find a working internet connection.

After an initial reboot it will appear to be fine; wifi connects automatically, no "!"s anywhere in sight, and everything seems to work. As soon as I disconnect from wifi, this issue starts. As mentioned, it will no longer reconnect to wifi and cellular data doesn't seem to work.

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions as to what the issue may be? This started out of the blue this afternoon, I haven't made any changes to my phone since flashing the April image. My bootloader is unlocked and I'm rooted, and save for the ElementalX experiment (going to go back to the stock kernel) everything else is stock.

Any help is appreciated. If you need any more info, let me know.

Sdfix for full access?

Hi,
Do we have to install sdfix to have full access to the sd card? Or marshmallow doesn't require that?
Thanks for your replies

Keyboard issue with Galaxy Note 5 flashed with TekXodus Hybrid N5 5.1.1 URv6.7

I sporadically have an issue where I try to delete text but the key board registers the "l" key or "enter" key instead. Sometimes the keyboard continually hits the shift button and locks up the software.

Anyone else having this issue?
