[Q] Major Battery Drain after flashing Lollipop

Hey there!

I flashed the official Lollipop (Germany) rom that is posted in the Note 4 General forum two days ago without doing a factory reset. Right now, I am experiencing horrible battery life. GSAM reports that the phone radio is using 35% of the battery life. I also see the 4G icon blinking every few seconds, indicating that mobile data is being used. How can I solve this? My battery life was perfect before flashing Lollipop...:(

Many thanks in advance!

[Q] Cannot Browsing in Chrome While on Mobile Data

Hi all,

I have an issue when browsing using chrome while on mobile data.

For example: www.detik.com, below is the error message that I got:

The request is not understood.

Technical descriptions:

400 Bad Request - Check your spelling for the requested URL.

Another example is google.com (or any https link), it will simply give the error: This webpage is not available.

But those errors wont happen if I use wi-fi connection.

FYI, I have mobile data plan, I can WA, BBM, twitter, facebook, etc but not browsing in chrome.

Anyone experience the same issue?

Please help :)

Thanks

[Q] Sony refusing to repair device

So first I want to acknowledge - I know that when you put a modified ROM on your tablet you apparently void the warranty. So with that knowledge in mind, i'm hoping people might have some thoughts on this.

I'm in Australia. Had my tablet with the Sony repairer previously because the screen cracked without any apparent cause. Sony fixed it under warranty (after some arguing).

Shortly after I got it back from the repairer, I attempted to install Cyanogenmod on the tablet and something went wrong, couldn't get past fastboot mode, and eventually the battery ran out and wouldn't recharge - even after being plugged in at the wall for 48 hours.

The repairer is now saying that Sony shouldn't pay for the repair because I voided the warranty. They want me to pay $300 to replace the Printed Circuit Board.

I can't imagine how installing different software would damage the circuit board. I think the tablet was damaged by the repairer internally when they fixed the tablet the first time around.

Does anyone have thoughts on this?

[Q]3G only mode when selected, it is not working/no service

Hi,

I recently had a factory reset, since my Xiaomi MI 3W was not responding! I use wifi most of the time, I have activated 3G data pack from Airtel (Service Provider), MIUI version - MIUI 6.3.9.0 (KXDMIBL) | Stable , the problem that am facing now is, when I select 3G only under Preferred Network Type (Mobile Networks), usually I had selected 3G only before factory reset & it was working fine, but now when I select 3G only there is no signal/service(emergency calls only), when I select 2G only or Prefer 3G, I get the service/signal, but I am unable to browse 3G data! If anyone has a solution, please let me know, since I have no clue of the customer support in India/Bangalore.

Thanks

Lognathan

[READ FIRST] Forum Section Rules / Guidelines

To help keep this forum section tidy and easy to use, here are some rules and guidelines. I have just moved several questions threads and Guides and Stock images into the relevant sections. They are not development.

Only the following topics are allowed in the DEVELOPMENT area:

  • [DEV] - Development for any projects or Apps.

  • [ROM] - Custom ROMs.

  • [KERNEL] - Custom Kernels.

  • [MOD] - Hack & Modifications for the phone. (See below for more details)

  • [FIX] - Fixes for known issues & bugs.

Note: If you are unsure where your new topic should go, then please post it in General unless it is a question it then belongs in Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting.

  • For more information on the Original Android Development section check out this portal post

  • All kinds of Best Rom/Kernel/etc threads are unwelcome, read, research and make your own mind up, as the question is very subjective.

  • Please Include Screen Shots for ROM / MOD / THEME / Apps & Games, when possible as it's expected by our members.

  • [MOD]'s that are primarily theming related or simply adjust stock application or framework functionality or behavior belong in the themes and apps section rather than the development section.

  • Unmodified Stock ROM and Source Codes does not count as a DEVELOPMENT project unless it's part of an active project you have already started, and so should be posted in the general section.

  • Placeholder threads posted in the development section will be removed or moved.

  • Howto's and Guides should be posted in the general section.

  • Password must be provided for all password protected files.

  • Direct download links preferred, due to stipulations stated in forum rule #11
