No VPN sorry no WiFi

Hi there,



I am building a home router on some decent pc hardware. I do this only to have a router with enough power to support decent encrypted vpn connections.



What I need to know is the following.



Is there a way to let an android device connect to WiFi -only- if the vpn is working?



This is tricky I guess. There has to be a WiFi connection otherwise the device cannot contact a vpn server.



But the point is that I don't want my users (wife and to lovely boys aging three and five) to connect to the Internet (via wifi) without any decent encryption.



I don't want to use a vpn service. I do this at home with the power router I build.



If I must pay for an app that does this than please suggest that. I love to pay for a good app that does what I want.



Any thoughts or suggestions?

[Q] Fido S3 - Using s-voice to create alarm = no sound

I have had this issue since I got the phone. When I set an alarm using s-voice the alarm will go off but no sound will be played. If I create the alarm using s-voice and then go edit the alarm , I don't change anything all I do is save it and the sound works. This problem is very annoying as I might as well just set the alarm manually so s-voice is useless for this. This has been happening for me for the last 2 firmware upgrades. I was rooted on the 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 and unrooted on the latest firmware. Sound volumes are at maximum. I don't have sound blocking enabled like I said it looks like the alarm isn't being saved correctly using s-voice

[Q] Nexus 5 bricked?

Hi,

Running stock lollipop 5.0.1 on my nexus 5 - boot loader unlocked, no root been like this since 5.0.1 was released. No recent software changes.



Today my nexus turned off itself and now will only show the Google boot screen (white text /lock at the bottom). I can boot into the fast boot recovery (holding down power and volume) but when I click to enter recovery mode I just get a blank screen and nothing happens.

Thought maybe flashing the stock image would fix this but I have no usb access when I connect to my Mac and not recognised in adb command.



Any ideas or solutions would be appreciated if even to reset the tamper flag and lock boot loader to get a warranty replacement.

Problem with link2sd

Hello,

I have a galaxy s4 ( i9505 ) with an external sd card samsung 32GB. So my problem appeared with the latest Update of Link2SD . I explain: wanting to link data from one application to the sd card space ( without ext2 partition) he said : Your device uses " sdcardfs " file system for its internal SD card. This one does not allow the attachment of a folder. You can not move the data and OBB ext. Link2SD can solve this problem by enabling the standard file system "fuse " of Android. ......... Want to continue? A reboot will be required. After I said yes and after restarting my ordeal began : all files in the external SD card appear intact but unusable : photos , documents the titanium backups etc. everything is there but inaccessible.



I copied all the files on pc but again they seem intact, but do not open .



Help me to just get photos and videos and thank you
