[Q] Bootloader Issue: screen never turns off while powered off+charging

Recently I dived into flashing custom recoveries and discovered TWRP, which I have no problems with (as in it does everything I want).



However, after unlocking the bootloader and flashing the recovery I found a bug/glitch/issue, I'm not sure. Whenever I power off my device, an LG Optimus G (sprint), it does so just fine. When I plug in my charging cable it turns on, showing the Google logo with an unlocked padlock at the bottom, then shows a screen with a charging battery indicator/animation. About 10-20 seconds after this the screen shows nothing but is still on, as if it were just a black image. I cannot power the device off completely, and when I try to it just repeats this. My phone will warm up after a while, so the only way to charge it safely is to keep it on all the time.



How can I fix this issue w/o relocking the bootloader?



I have an LG optimus G ls970, Rooted, Stock ROM, Unlocked bootloader w/ TWRP recovery.



Any help or answer to this will make me super happy, thanks in advance.

lollipop network mode

hello,

I'm on xt1022 stock 4.4.4 rooted and want to upgrade to 5.0.2.

in 5.0.2 network settings there is only option of

preferred networks (2g or 3g).

i want to have 3g only, 2g only (wcdma

only,gsm only) options on both my sim

cards.

by dialing *#*#4636#*#* I'm able to set

only sim1 as wcdma only but i require

this functionality for both the sim cards.

on 4.4.4 i installed gravity box and overcame this restriction, but gravity box still doesn't support this feature on lollipop.

1) is there any other work around in lollipop ?

2) users of cm12 or any other custom rom of lollipop, please tell me whether you guys have this feature in your respective roms ?

Questions for Fire phone users

Hello,



I'm thinking of purchasing a Fire phone and have a few questions.

1. What's it like having no back & recent apps button?

2. Have you managed to install any launcher that makes it look like what Android normally looks like with working widgets and kitkat/lollipop notification bar?

3. Anyone tried Nova Launcher?

4. I read you can sideload google play without root, does that work properly?



I currently have a Moto G, I like it but at times I wish it was more responsive.

I don't take many pics but when I do I often wish they were a little clearer.

I'm looking for a phone that isn't too expensive and isn't too big (most phones seem to be getting huge).

[HELP] CWM Compile for T230/NU

hi everyone i have set up a cm build environment i have also done everything needed in order to build recovery (added kerenl source and also got boardconfig/fstab setup



after doing a compile i have used the fake flash update.zip to test through twrp but when the t230 tries to boot cwm the just lights up an goes off in a loop??



i have tried compiling three times but no luck i still get the same result i am at a dead end and if another dev could help me out i would greatly be thankfull....

Which CPU binning do I have (3 different values?)

Hey there, from what I read there are 3 methods for finding out your CPU binning. I did them and each one gives me different results. Which one is the correct one?



cat /proc/cpu/msm_acpu_pvs - result "8"

/sys/module/clock_krait_8974/parameters table_name - result "qcom,speed2-pvs13-bin-v1"

/sys/module/clock_krait_8974/parameters pvs_config_ver - result "3"



From what I testes -50mV is possible but crashes with battery below 15% and in AnTuTu stability test. -25mV works stable.

[Q] Screen Mirroring problem

I have recently bought Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime SG-530H. Yesterday I tried connecting it with my Sony TV via Screen Mirroring, But It won't connect. :( It detects the TV fine. But when I try to connect, It won't stop loading and I get something like 'Failed to connect via Screen mirroring' and on TV also detect and get my Device name. But Give me an Error Message that Registering device failed.

Does anyone run into the same problem with this device? What should I do? :confused:

screen blank but responsive on AUTORADIO DVD/GPS/NAVI/IPOD/ANDROID 4.2 Player FORD MO

Welcome everyone,



around half year ago I have purchased AUTORADIO DVD/GPS/NAVI/IPOD/ANDROID 4.2 Player FORD MONDEO I was pretty much happy using this gear, however now it start having some issues with screen.

Basically screen whole unit remains operations except screen what is blank but still responsive. Radio should start when ignition turned on and car is powered. unit however does not display logo screen but instead starting last function running much quicker than before. I have noticed that all function like playing cd/dvd or using radio working well. it does also WiFi dongle and 3g dongle. The best part is that panel is still responsive and you can change stations on radio when pressing place where button should be displayed.
