[Q] DL1010Q softbricked

Ok, here is the deal and I hope someone can help me. I have a cheap DigiLand DL1010Q tablet to play around with. It is stock, but I rooted it with KingRoot. There was a recent OTA wireless update and after it was installed it said that it needed to go into recovery mode to install and reboot. I selected install now and reboot. This is where my problem started and has remained. It loaded into recovery mode and is in an endless boot loop. I've tried rebooting it, recovery with the recovery file and every manual reset possible to no avail. DigiLand support said that I should power down the tablet, and while holding down the Volume Down (-) hit the power button and it will boot into a Chinese recovery mode. I've tried that and it just stays on the DigiLand screen forever. (I left it there for 8 hours.) I can sideload via ADB and the drivers are installed, but it will not let me load anything. It states that the bootloader is closed. I receive the same message via Fastboot. Now here is the interesting thing. Even after selecting the factory reset within the Recovery Mode, everything is still there. I have wiped the cache and partition and user data, but nothing really happens. It is still all there. I see the recovery file, but it will not load. All I see is NO Command.

I do have a sd card that I could flash things on, but it doesn't seem to register the card. It sees the sdcard, but that is the internal drive. How do I get it to look at the sdcard that I put into the slot? Is there a bootloader unlock? Does anyone have the factory image that I can put on my sdcard? HELP!!!!

I am fairly good with computers and have rooted phones and tablets before, but I seem to be hitting my head on a bricked wall - no pun intended. Let me know what programs, files or whatever. At this point I am willing to try anything. I can send it back to China for $50 for them to redo it, but I only paid $69 for it and I'm not going to put more money into this cheap tablet. I would just like to get it to work.

Exposed Modules OK for LP?

Is there a list of either working or non-working Xposed modules for LP? I am running SkyDragon 2.0.1 with 30 Xposed modules and would love to try 3.0.1 but there are several of the 30 modules I currently run that I don't want to part with.

[Q] TWRP and rom recovery guide for lg tribute

Hello,

I recently was having major issues with my os., so I wanted to just share some of the information I found that was scattered all over in several different places. First of all, I had TWRP custom recovery and super su installed. I don't know how to do the following process without it. If you have root, GET TWRP NOW!!!!!! You will hate yourself if you do not have a backup.

In twrp app, under install twrp there is no lg tribute. I used the ls-990 when selecting my phone. It worked for me and looks like ls-660 upside down anyways. I picked the build 2.8.5.0.

Ok, so I downloaded the stock rom. Jmurphy posted in tribute development thread for a virgin mobile stock rom on page 125 (cant post links here yet due to newness.)

When my phone went bad, I booted automatically into recovery. I still have no idea how to get in there when all is well, but an internet search might prove useful. I booted in TWRP automatically.

Ok, one thing to mention about TWRP, It makes recovery folders when you do a TWRP backup. Do a backup on the sd. Even if you lost your os. If just to get the folder structure it makes. I went ahead and put my sd card in my laptop chip reader and navigated to the folder that had my recovery. I unpacked the zip files and overwrote the files with the same names on the sd card in the TWRP backup folder that was created when doing a backup. I then put the sd back into phone and did a recovery after wiping my os (while making sure to mount all the directories in TWRP.)

Afterwards lo and behold, I was into my os again. My phone was harassing me to make an update. I listened and updated. Then I got stuck in a TWRP bootloop.

The cure for this bootloop is a script from twrp terminal.

Carefully enter

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota

then hit enter

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/misc

then hit enter

this got me out of the bootloop. I hope it will work for you too. Good luck :)

AllianceROM© intends to give the user what THEY want. Tired of flashing Roms and having to ask for little changes to suit your taste? Tired of having to manually change colors of the toggles or the battery or move your clock or make statusbar transparent or any of the other multitude of other little color and style tweaks that Android users love? Tired of flashing AROMA installer for every little change you want to make? Tired of having to add your favourite images everytime a new rom comes out?

If you answer yes to any of these then AllianceROM is for you! We have a huge array of "on the fly" options for you to play with. Make your phone to YOUR style. YOUR color. YOUR perfection.

The majority of modifications in AllianceROM are OPTIONAL. Many you wont find on any other TW ROM and some you wont find anywhere...Xposed, AOSP or otherwise! You can turn them on and off at will. We try not to impose many things on people because we realise that Android is all about INDIVIDUALITY. Make YOUR Rom and YOUR phone how YOU want it and change it on a whim.

Choose from 17 preset UI Styles (shown in screenshots tab above) and change them with a click. No rebooting

I DO NOT have this device. This was all possible bc I had AWESOME testers! Some features may not work fully, this is why it is a BETA build. Please keep that in mind. Also, if you have a issue, PLEASE provide a log. I will update the 2nd post to this thread with how to capture log info and other things..Also, this ROM does not support Xposed!! If you need Xposed with this ROM you need a different ROM ..Thank you

As of now, what I know that does not work:

  • Remapp recents short press

  • Remapp home long press

[Q] Zenonia

Hey guys, I didn't know where to post and didn't find an answer, so decided to post here. Alright, so I updated to Lollipop 5.0.1 quite long ago on my Nexus 5, and I had trouble with some games. I reinstalled some and they worked fine afterwards, however, all of the Zenonias don't. It says that Zenonia 5 is only compatible up until 4.4.4, and there hasn't been an update for quite some time. Is there any way around it to play them without downgrading/update? They just instantly crash, or load for some time and crash. The reason I'm asking this is because 1 & 3 have been removed from the marketplace, and I doubt they will be updated to support 5.0.

Thanks in advance.
