Is Possible This ? Port ROM and Different Kernel ?

hello developers community, i know i might acting like a noob now, but after seeing alot of tutorials on youtube i have decide to ask this :

- It would be possible to install a different kernel and ROM into my Galaxy Note 3 N9006 1.2Ghz, 1GB RAM, 8Gb Internal MTK Device ?

from what i know, the biggest problems will be porting the LCD Drivers in order for my screen to work...

What would be the easiest method and what software do you guys recommend for that ? I wanna be as short as possible with asking dumb question... but i would like to try my luck with this ( i already did a back up of my ROM ) in case i brick the phone...

Thank you guys

WARNING: OpenRecoveryScript on Safestrap WILL screw up your FireOS.

If you happen to have a update file on the main area of your internal script, and open Safestrap's recovery after booting the tablet, it WILL mess up the OS to the point where it will simply start at a black screen, and you won't be able to do anything. OpenRecoveryScript updates the file on its own when you open Safestrap, and will install it onto the ROM you're using.

I'm not sure if this is just a bug with my device or not, but I'm just posting this so others can know.

[Q] Help Can't flash Stock rom different carrier.

Hi there. I have a very simple question. I bought an AT&T version Tab s 10.5. I have tried Googling all over the web for this issue but I can't find a solution. I am very new to flashing roms. I have done it in the past but that was much easier back then. Last time I flash a rom was on a Google G1. Anyway the model of AT&T Tab S is T807A. I am trying to flash the Tmobile stock rom T807T on this tablet. Is there anyway I can do it? Odin fails at NAND write. Please someone help me out. I don't want to flash a custom rom. Just replace the AT&T rom with T-Mobile Stock rom. Thank You.

root 4 without downgrade

Hey guys. Been looking for hours this evening/night for some tutorial to root my newly bought D6502 ROM 23.0.1.A.0.167 ,but couldn't find anything handy, all I found is some tutorials which include the downgrade to a previous ROM and then upgrade again which in my case is very tough as I have a slow internet connexion. Please guys if you know of any method that doesn't require downgrading, I'll be thanful :)

[Q] Any way to not get Lollipop pushed OTA to stock unrooted S5 on KitKat 4.4.2?

Hi all,

I just got an S5 today and it has KitKat 4.4.2. I accidentally clicked on the "Software Update" button in the "Settings>About Device" page and it started downloading Lollipop OTA. I couldn't find any way to stop the download. I have no intention of upgrading to Lollipop any time soon, so now I'm stuck with nearly 1GB of wasted space and an annoying nag to update.

I've been looking through this forum and it seems like the only ways to get rid of the nag and clear out the downloaded update require a rooted device. I prefer not to root my device so I'm wondering if there's any way to get rid of the nag and the downloaded OTA update without rooting. Do I pretty much have to do a factory reset?

If factory reset is my only route, will the OTA update just get automatically pushed back out and downloaded to my phone in a few days or weeks? If so, there wouldn't seem to be much of a point in doing a factory reset if the update will just come back. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

John

Twrp query

I know this is a noobish question but does advanced wipe in twrp factory reset or do I have to factory reset and advanced wipe? I've successfully flashed various ROMs with cwm but I'm relatively new to twrp. Thanks. :)
