[Q] Galaxy Grand 2 G7102 - mmc_read fail, No PIT Partition

Hi guys, I have my Galaxy Grand SM-G7102 boot loop. It can no longer access the Recovery Mode, when I go to that it says "mmc_read fail". Download mode works fine, but when I flash stock rom via Odin, it looks for a PIT file, and when I added a PIT file, it still errors. Please help me with this one. I have tried putting the usb chord into different usb hubs and used 2 different usb chords. The flash is always error.

[Q] Lollipop vs Kit Kat

Since the drop of 5.0 is it really better than 4.4.4? What are the pros and cons? I am super happy with my S5 on Kit Kat...is the upgrade to 5.0 worth it ( I am rooted right now ).

[Q] A ROM like Omni.

Hi guys, I've just got an LG G3 (D855) in the past 2 weeks, and so far I've not rooted it or anything yet, however, I'm looking to. I just need to find that one special ROM and I've not got as much time as I used to and I was wondering if anyone knows of a ROM that's similar to Omni as that was my favourite on my S3.



The main features I'd like are:

• Debloated


• Smooth


• Small


• Stable

I just feel that having a close to stock android, bloatless experience that's stable is the best way to enjoy my phone. If anyone knows of any ROMs, feedback would be much appreciated :)

Sudden battery drain!

Hello XDA!



I have an LG g3 (d855) running lollipop. Since a week, out of the blue, whatsapp, FB messenger are eating a lot of battery. Before, it used to be like 1-3% in the battery each in the usage list. Now, it's close to 20%. I tried downgrading the apps, but it's of no use. No changes has been made to the phone. I can greenify the apps, but why is this happening? Even my app usage has remained the same. Please help me out

[Q] flashed the wrong radio.zip... can i fix it?

I accidently flashed the zv5_radio.zip (which i downloaded from the root all the volts forum thread titled zv5 full update- odexed and deodexed for my own phone, an lg volt ls740) onto my husbands lg tribute ls660p, and now the screen stays blank. It still makes the boot up sounds and notifications as if its booting correctly and the computer still recognizes it, but if i try rebooting it to recovery or download mode, i have no idea if it works, and then the computer doesnt recognize it. I recently rooted his lg tribute and flashed twrp as the recovery.img successfully before flashing the volt radio.zip, the computer recognoze the phone in adb, but any rebooting stops that. I have no way to allow my computers rsa key on the phone either ive yet to find any .tot files or .kdz for the ls660 (stock or otherwise) or any .dll files for the lgflashtool either, cause im hoping that might be the answer. Please help. Or possibly a stock rom? The adb shell on the computer also says the device is not rooted or you do not have permission to do that, please help i read that i may have.overwritten tne aboot.img, but no luck finding any of those either. Thank you

Can I Just Swipe the Notification to Make Incoming SMS as Read?

I always receive short sms and the notification is wide enough to read the whole messages, so I always swipe the notification to dismiss it, however the sms is not marked as read, so when another sms comes, oops, I have to go through the sms app and read all messages again to mark them read.

I'm using hangouts as the default sms app. I think if we can mark the sms as read while we swipe from the notification or have an option to swipe down and mark as read, would be perfect.
