Yet The Best CustomROM for Nexus 5 ?

Hi,

My N5 is running on Android Lollipop 5.1.0 (LMY47I), (Rooted)

I know choosing a custom rom differs from one person to another, but I would like to know which custom rom you recommend to me (Based on your exp). and Which CustomROM I can consider Switching to. More likely I'm looking for a CustomROM with Stock ROM Experience + Addition features (Circular battery, Performance, Better Battery life, etc..)

Hope your replies might also help other who has thoughts to switch to CustomROM !

Thanks in advance !

Xperia Z Shows full network but cant receive or make calls

Hello everyone,

I use the stock indian version of Android 4.4.4 (.283) version of android.

I face this stupid ambiguous problem which leaves me in a fix. My phone shows full network, not a bar less in the network signal bar but when you go to make a call or receive em, well all the signal bars are of no use. You can;t message, you can't use your internet. The funny thing is you don't get to know whether your phone is working or not unless you try to make a call yourself.

I tried flashing the phone again, changed my sim card but yet I face the same problem. Can anyone of you help me with this problem.

Your valuable responses would be very important for me.

Thanks and Regards.

[bootanimation] Enable zip Bootanimation

This is an offshoot from my S3 days. The mod will enable you to use any zip bootanimation. KK version worked on my T700. Just had to change permissions on my fave bootanimation (attached, blue particle) to that of the rest on /system/media. It may also work on other variants as the OP says "should in theory work on all other samsung android devices"

[Q] Installing a custom font for my S5.

Hey :D So, basically, I was wanting to know how I'd go about installing a font that I found onto my phone. I already know how and I've tried it, I just don't get the best results...

It's the font from Five Nights at Freddy's. I have a system theme for it but as you can see, by default, the font is WAY too big. So I was wondering, is there a way I can make the font fit better on my S5? I tried making it smaller with iFont but it makes other font *like YouTube* extremely small and more difficult to read. Thanks for any suggestions :)

Inductive charging for the Note 8.0

This thread is dedicated to the development of an inductive charging mod for the Galaxy Note 8.0.

To sum up what is already known:

  • The Note 8.0 DOES NOT have built in wireless charging capabilities.

  • Generic 500mA Micro USB Qi receivers do not appear to work (It isn't yet known if 1000mA ones do)

In another thread I had identified 2 contact pads at the bottom of the mainboard which were particularly interesting. Mainly because they were right near the connector to the Usb board as well as the battery connector.

These contacts are not used for anything else such as a speaker or antenna (at least on the Wi-Fi version).

Neither of the two large pads are connected to Ground nor VCC, but some of the smaller pads are.

If there is anyone has a bricked Note 8 and would like to donate it's PCB, it would definitely help with figuring out what these pads are. High res pics of the other side of the mainboard would work as well.
