Cyanogen OS 12 Build Fixes Touchscreen For OnePlus One

oneplus-one-India

After having made appearances in the nightly builds of CM12.1, the touchscreen driver which effectively fixes most touchscreen issues while still having negligible effects on battery life has made its way on to the official Cyanogen OS builds for the OnePlus One.

The build YNG1TAS2I3 is 566 MB large and contains the new and improved touchscreen drivers, fixes for bluetooth connectivity for in-car systems and also fixes for MMS sending on some carriers. This build is still Android 5.0, so you still have to wait a bit longer if you want Cyanogen OS on Android 5.1 on the OnePlus One.

If you are on the previous Cyanogen OS build (YNG1TAS17L), you can also flash this smaller, incremental zip which is 20 MB large and contains all the changes between the two builds.

To flash, simply place the relevant file on your internal sd card, and flash via recovery. Since the ROM is a signed build officially released by Cyanogen, it can be flashed via stock recovery.

Feedback for this build has been decent and better than the previous Cyanogen OS 12 build, so you can give this a shot if you are amongst the ones who face the touchscreen issues on Cyanogen OS 12.

Let us know in the comments if this build finally fixed the issues!

Easy Copy Paste – XDA App Review

easy cover

Let’s be real for a minute here. As great as Android is, sometimes switching between apps is cumbersome. Especially if you are trying to copy something from one app to another. There has to be an easier way. If I copy an address it should open Google Maps. If I copy a URL, I should be able to open in Chrome or my browser of choice.

XDA Forum Member MurinXDA offers up an app to help make copying and pasting easier. In this video, XDA TV Producer TK reviews Easy Copy Paste. TK shows off the application and shares his thoughts, so check out this app review.
