Leaked Render Allegedly Reveals the Huawei Mate 8

Steve Hemmerstoffer aka OnLeaks just revealed what is said to be the upcoming flagship phablet from Huawei, the Mate 8. We get a near 360-degree view of the device as the render spins completely around it from every side except the front. We’re also told that the dimensions of the Huawei Mate 8 should be around 157.4mm x 80.7mm x 8.4mm.

Google Says Antitrust Allegations in Russia are Unfounded

Yandex recently filed a complaint against Google and requested the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service look into the company’s business practices when it comes to Android. It was found that Google was violating the country’s antitrust laws and they were given a deadline of November 18th to change. Google now says that the allegations are unfounded and that they will be contesting this decision in court.

Google just announced an update to their Android application that will allow you to ask complex questions and get an answer. Google gives some interesting example questions that are now possible with the application (and Google search as a whole) thanks to the company’s advancements in machine learning. So try to come up with some complex questions and see if Google can get it right.

Xposed for Marshmallow Updated to Version 78

XDA Senior Recognized Developer rovo89 just released a nice little update of Xposed for both Lollipop and Marshmallow. This update brings the 5.x versions all of the new changes that were put into the initial Marshmallow release, there was a bug fix for the 5.0 version, there are a couple bug fixes involving the XModuleResources.createInstance() and invokeOriginalMethod() API methods and the source code is on GitHub.

Xperia Z5 Camera v2.0.0 Ported to Xperia Z1, Z2 & Z3 Series

Sony had pushed an update to the camera application on the Xperia Z5 series, which brought along a new UI and image processing improvements. This camera app has now been ported over to other devices in the Xperia Z series lineup. The app works unmodified on the Xperia Z3+, while there are ported apks for the others.

Google Engineer Advises to Avoid OnePlus' USB Type-C Accessories

In response to recent controversy in which a Google engineer warned that OnePlus was selling non-compliant USB Type-C devices, a OnePlus spokesperson reached out to Gadgets 360 to address the concerns expressed by the Google engineer. The USB cable “can safely be used with the OnePlus 2 to transfer data and charge the phone,” however, it may be wise to avoid using this Type-C device on any other device, as the Google engineer warns.
