I've been trying to find a widget that simply toggles the WiFi hotspot from my home screen on my Nexus 6P. I've tried the following:
Everything I've tried has resulted in a dead end. The only solution I've been able to get working is to add the built-in Hotspot to the Quick Settings dropdown. Has anyone been able to find a push button solution from the home screen?
- Adding a Quick Settings widget, but the only option is "Tethering & portable hotspot"
- Power Toggles app, but the hotspot toggle button only serves as an indicator, it doesn't actually do anything
- Tasker WiFi Tether task, with the action set to Toggle, but it doesn't do anything when you run it
- Searching through the 6P forums for other solutions
