Moto X Pure: Pretty much a Nexus device?

I got my Moto X Pure a few weeks ago. I've always been a snob for the look and feel of pure AOSP. The first thing I always do when I receive a device is unlock the bootloader and root. I've always used LG devices, so I've always used CM on all my devices and had an AWESOME experience. I'm also a big snob for build quality (ever since my friend let me use his V10 for a week). No LG device desides the V10 could offer me a build quality as fantastic as some of the Motorola devices (especially the X15).

I've also always loved Nexus devices, but never owned one due to the fact they all have LARGE flaws. They're not as perfected as US flagships by any stretch.

So, thinking the X15 would be indifferent with my ROMing habits, I bought one for the build quality and the better resource allocation over LG. The first thing I did was unlock the bootloader and install CM13. I loved CM13 for a few weeks. Then, one day, I decided to try out the Root+Debloated stock ROM (thinking I wouldn't stick with it).

And then... I just kinda stayed there. I never realized how close the Moto stock rom is to pure AOSP. In fact, every extension designed for Pure AOSP works flawlessly on here. Xposed, Layers, and all the root apps work amazing. It's pretty much Pure AOSP with a better ambient display system and optimized for the device, which feels great.

I've been running stock ROM for a week and don't intend on changing. Honestly, I feel like I'm using a Nexus 6P with no fingerprint scanner.

What are your thoughts on this stance? Agree? Disagree? I shouldn't exist?

Let me know

WiFi hotspot toggle widget that works?

I've been trying to find a widget that simply toggles the WiFi hotspot from my home screen on my Nexus 6P. I've tried the following:
  • Adding a Quick Settings widget, but the only option is "Tethering & portable hotspot"
  • Power Toggles app, but the hotspot toggle button only serves as an indicator, it doesn't actually do anything
  • Tasker WiFi Tether task, with the action set to Toggle, but it doesn't do anything when you run it
  • Searching through the 6P forums for other solutions

Everything I've tried has resulted in a dead end. The only solution I've been able to get working is to add the built-in Hotspot to the Quick Settings dropdown. Has anyone been able to find a push button solution from the home screen?

[HELP] Group messaging (MMS) issues

I want to start off by saying I have 1 or 2 group messages that go on throughout the whole day, every day. When I first got the Verizon S7 edge, I had zero issues for the first three days. All of the sudden, at least once a day, there is an issue receiving and sending group messages. I can't link it to anything specific besides it happening most when the group chat is most active. 11 people in the chat are sending multiple messages at a time and then I'll send a message at the same time and i realize mine is not sending and then I stop receiving everyone else's messages. If I go to the individual participants chat in my texting app, there will be a bunch of messages that are downloading. This has happened to me in the past with other phones, but its usually linked to having bad service at a certain time and simply turning mobile data on and off will fix the issue. I cant link it to anything this time, it happens randomly. It doesn't matter where I am, if I have 1 bar or 4 bars, if wifi is on/off, bluetooth is on/off. The messages eventually start coming in, but I dont know what causes that to happen either. I could restart the phone 4 times before it helps. The only thing I can say is it happens most often when the group chat is most active. I'll also mention that this wasn't an issue in the first 3-5 days of using the phone. Below are the steps I've already taken to try and resolve the issue.

1. Wifi on/off
2. Mobile data on/off
3. Restarting the phone
4. Tried 4 different texting apps - Hangouts, google messenger, samsung messenger, verizon messenger
5. Factory reset
6. New SIM card
7. Swapped the phone out for a brand new one. Issue started again with the new one after 3-5 days.
8. Enabled every app that was disabled
9. Activated/deactivated advanced calling
10. Called Verizon tech support - We replicated the issue and thought it was due to "delete old messages" being turned on in the settings. Tech support thought the phone was trying to delete old messages at the same time I was receiving a bunch of texts and everything would get stuck. Everything seemed fine after changing that, but it happened again a few hours later.
11. I've run out of options

I had the Note 5 before this and had zero issues with that phone and I've never had an Iphone.

Please help
