This isn't necessarily an LG problem as the first time. I saw it, was on my friends note 4. He was on a hike and out of cell range. When he got back he noticed that all of his pictures he took on the hike were corrupted.
I just went on a hike today. I also went out of cell range. Started taking pictures and noticed that they were visible in the preview window at the bottom of the camera app. But when I go into the actual gallery, all the pictures were corrupted. I tried turning off geo tagging and putting my phone into airplane mode and took more. Same result. As I got back into cell range I took a few pictures and they turned out fine.
My question is, why are the pictures cell service reliant? That makes absolutely no sense. If I don't renew my contact all the non phone apps and hardware should still work fine and the camera shouldn't be dependant on cell service. Am I missing something? There a way to fix it? Tried googling the problem but didn't really come up with anything.
