After announcing and demonstrating Android Pay at its annual I/O earlier this year, Google went on to finally launch the app in early September. However, like most initial releases, the app wasn’t without its bugs, and v1.1 of Android Pay started rolling out, targeted specifically at addressing the issues in v1.0, such as the problems when setting it up on a new device, and the difficulty in setting up loyalty and gift cards without a credit card.

Huawei is Now the 2nd Largest Android OEM in Europe

In just 12 months, Huawei has gone from the sixth largest Android OEM in Europe’s ‘big five’ to second. Based on sales figures from Q3 of this year, the only OEM that is doing better in these major markets for the EU is Samsung.

XenonHD ROM Brings Marshmallow to the LG G3

When Android Marshmallow was released and OEMs began putting out a list of devices that could expect the update, LG listed both the G4 as well as the G3 as expected. However, OEM releases take longer, given their expectations to push out bug-free firmware, and the community has once again stood up to remedy that. Built by TeamHorizon, XenonHD is a custom Mashmallow-based ROM for the G3 that is still in the experimental stage, with most features not working, rather acting as a proof-of-concept, and setting the stage for more stable builds in future.

Marshmallow Users May Need to Nanually Enable Native Visual Voicemail

Some users on reddit are reporting that Visual Voicemail was disabled by default in their Phone app. To remedy this, simply navigate to the settings page on the Phone app to find the Voicemail settings page under “Calls.” According to several users, the feature may only be available on T-Mobile and Project Fi as some carriers disable this option. In addition, the new Nexus phones seem to lack this feature.
