This year’s pair of Nexus devices have a pretty unique imaging sensor inside it. At 12.3MP and 1.55 micron pixels, they can capture the world around us better than any other Nexus before. Kernel Dev Finds Hidden Double Tap to Wake Feature on the Nexus 6P

XDA Recognized Developer flar2, the person responsible for the popular ElementalX custom kernel, has just discovered a a way to enable double tap to wake on the Nexus 6P. It’s unclear if this will effect battery life just yet, but it does sound like users could have the option to enable this if their custom kernel supports it.
