Google Announces In-App Translations for Marshmallow

This week, Google will be rolling out some interesting integration of the Google Translate into Android 6.0 Marshmallow. No matter which application you are in, when you highlight some next, tapping the 3-dot menu will offer a new option (assuming you have the Google Translate application installed). This will open up a new dialog box that lets you translate it into any language that is currently supported.

Lollipop is Up to 23.5% in October’s Android Distribution Numbers

At the start of each month we see Google releases the Android distribution numbers: Stats are pulled from devices that accessed the Google Play Store and this month we see Android 5.x Lollipop is up to 23.5%. KitKat is still holding strong at 38.9%, Jelly Bean is currently at 30.2% and then we have Froyo, Gingerbread and ICS filling in the gaps.

Google Creative Lab Releases a New App: Meter

Meter is a live wallpaper application from Google’s Creative Labs and its aim is to bring you real-time stats directly on your home screen. You can choose between few stats like battery life (which is shown with a couple of circles), WiFi signal (which is shown with an inverted triangle that fills up and a notification count (which is shown with colored bars).
