Google Launches Shared Albums for Google Photos

Google Launches Shared Albums for Google Photos

Google previously announced Shared Albums for Google Photos but they hadn’t yet released the feature to the public. This week we are starting to see this feature rolled out to both the iOS and Android apps, along with the web portal for Google Photos. You can now invite people to join an album where they can add their own photos to the collection.

Android Studio 2.0 Emulator Preview Now Available

Android Studio 2.0 recently hit preview channels, and earlier today, the Android Developers blog announced that the newest version of the Android Emulator, which was previewed at the Android Dev Summit, is now available to try out. Previous versions have been notorious for their poor performance, but this version promises significant improvements, alongside numerous UI changes and other additions.

Snapdragon 820 Preview Device Scores 131K on AnTuTu Benchmark

Qualcomm just invited some publications to preview a prototype device running the Snapdragon 820 SoC and it put up some impressive AnTuTu scores. For comparison, the Kirin 950 achieved an overall score of about 97,000 while the Snapdragon 820 reached 131,648. Where the 820 really shines though is the GPU scores of 54,435, where the Kirin 950 only gets up to around 21,000. Keep in mind that this last version of AnTuTu is different, with a different score scale.
