Sony has announced a Theme Portal website, featuring a collection of themes compatible with various Xperia devices. Clicking on a featured theme will redirect to the Play Store. Sony is also providing learning resources for interested 3rd party designers to start creating their own themes and get them showcased on the Portal.
The latest Google Maps update adds a new navigation interface with increased level of detail as well as interactive elements on the new UI. The update also brings along a “popular times” feature for businesses which indicates the peak time of rush for the store, allowing people to plan ahead efficiently.
XDA Senior Recognized Developer rovo89 has pushed out an update to the official Xposed installer which added support for Lollipop 5.1. However, stock Samsung ROM’s are still not officially supported, and some Sony devices give out fatal errors on installation, so be cautious while installing/updating!
Huawei’s next smartphone gets leaked in hands on images as well as press renders, pointing to a device with a fingerprint sensor and front facing flash. The official revealing of the device is scheduled for tomorrow at IFA Berlin, where Huawei will reportedly showcase the force touch capabilities of the device.
