YU’s flagship launch has been delayed to 17th December 2015 from its original 7th December date. The reason for this delay has been cited as “plans to announce something special with Yutopia”. We do hope it is indeed something worth postponing your flagship event for.
Qualcomm has just signed a patent agreement that would allow Xiaomi to use the company’s 3G and 4G technologies in future handsets. This enables Xiaomi to develop, manufacture and sell 3G (WCDMA and CDMA2000) and 4G, including 3-mode (LTE-TDD, TD-SCDMA and GSM), complete devices. It also eliminates the chance of litigation from Qualcomm, which is something they are already dealing with Ericsson in India.
Sony is still working to improve its AOSP program. A new zip archive with new binaries has been uploaded. Update brings camera enhancements to the Rhine and Shinano platforms, with front camera also now working on Yukon and Kitakami. HAL 3 and RAW mode support are working fine on these platforms too. Get the Android 5.1 binaries now!
The LG G4 is a pretty desirable device. However, at XDA stock is not always good enough. The forums are filled with many different ROMs, kernels and more. Perhaps the most well known custom ROM is CyanogenMod. With the latest Android out, the lastest CyanogenMod version is out. CyanogenMod 13 is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. There is an offical version of CM13 for the LG G4.

Google’s annual Santa tracker website has been updated in preparation of Christmas of 2015. The updated site and app feature a countdown to Christmas, along with several fun games which you can play to earn achievements on Play Games. There’s also watchfaces for Android Wear, scenes for Google Cardboard and support for Android TV app.
Remember the Original Samsung Galaxy S? We won’t fault you if you don’t remember this almost 6 year old device. The device should be firmly in the graves by now, but through the efforts of XDA Senior Member sooti, users who still have the great great great grandfather of Galaxy flagships can enjoy the taste of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Fair warning, the ROM is in alpha, so expect bugs in a lot of places.
