[Q] Verizon HTC One Max Hotspot Not working in Australia

Ive been using my HTC One Max in the states for 6 months and it works great. I brought it to Australia and am using it successfully on the OPTUS network with few issues. No 4G, but the H, or 3.5G network here is really strong. The only thing i need to change on it is the hotspot will not turn on with the OPTUS (local Cell provider) sim card in it. Actually, it wont turn on with the Verizon sim car in it either if its associated to an Optus tower. The Error that comes up when I turn it on is - 'An Error has occurred. Please Try again later.' Does anyone know a work around for this? Is it locked out unless it sees a verizon tower? THanks in advance:)))) Matt
