Samsung to Reportedly Start Mass Producing the Exynos 8890 in December

Reports from South Korea say that Samsung is getting ready to start mass producing their next flagship SoC in December. This happens to be the Exynos 8890, which is likely to be used in the upcoming Galaxy S7. Reports suggest this SoC will be clocked at 2.3GHz, allegedly beating Apple’s A9 in combined single and multi-core benchmarks.

Huawei Ships over 27 Million Smartphones in Q3 2015

Huawei’s quarterly financial reports are out and the Chinese OEM is producing some impressive numbers this year. Q3 shipments are up 81% in Europe, a 33% increase(compared to 2014) in shipments this year shows larger growth than their competitors and they are on track of their target to ship 100 million smartphones this year. Analysts are now predicting the next key market for Huawei will be the United States.

Samsung Launches Galaxy View, Tablet With 18.4” FHD Display

Samsung has made the Galaxy View official today, a tablet with a ridiculously sized 18.4″ FHD display, which sports a built-in handle to add to sorely needed carrying convenience. The tablet otherwise has mediocre specs, mainly a 1.6GHz Octa core processor, 2GB RAM, LTE capability and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The tablet also has a decently sized 5700 mAh, which adds up to give the “tablet” a staggering weight of 2.65kg.

XDA Member hjthjthjt has posted a guide on adding Lollipop’s translucent status bar on the Honor 6 and 6X smartphones. This staple feature of Lollipop is noticeably missing from EMUI, Honor’s baked ROM, but can now be added without needing root on the device.
