Music is skipping

when i play music on my phone is skips on any Bluetooth device. so i know its the phone. i bring resources and cache down but still have the problem. also i have a zero lemon battery that i used to get two days of life and now barely into the night. cold these two things be related? maybe something is installed that is taking up energy and resources? i really dont want to hard reset but I would if suggested. and if i did a hard reset how would i know what im bringing back onto the phone woluldnt create the problem again. im not rooted. thank you
